This policy covers Based Studio, Karachi, Pakistan. It explains what this website does with your information, and what we do with your details when you contact us.
The short version
This website has no accounts, no database and no contact form that submits anywhere. Nothing you type into the contact page is sent to us or stored by this site. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not sell anything to anyone.
What the website stores on your device
- Your light or dark setting. Saved in your browser’s
local storage under
bs-mode, so the site remembers how you like it. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
That is the only thing stored. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
The contact page
The form on our contact page runs entirely in your browser. As you type, it builds a message and shows you a preview. Nothing is transmitted until you choose to press Send on WhatsApp, which opens WhatsApp with that message ready for you to send. If you close the page without pressing it, nothing is kept and nothing reaches us.
When you message us
If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive whatever you send — typically your name, business name, phone number or email address, and what you are asking about. We use it only to reply and, if you become a client, to carry out the work. We keep it for as long as we are working together and for 12 months afterwards, then delete it.
We never sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Services we rely on
- WhatsApp (Meta). Messages you send us go through WhatsApp and are covered by Meta’s own privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider, Vercel. Like almost all web hosts, it keeps short-lived server logs that may include your IP address, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these to identify anyone.
- A booking tool, if you use it. Our contact page may embed Cal.com for booking a call. Anything you enter there goes to that company under their privacy policy, not ours. We load it only when you reach that part of the page.
We do not currently run Google Analytics, a Meta Pixel or any other analytics or advertising tracker. If that changes, this page has to be updated first — and in most places you will also need a consent banner before such a tracker may load.
Client accounts we manage
When you hire us, you may give us access to your social media accounts, website or Google Business Profile. We use that access only to do the work you asked for, we do not share it, and we hand it back or remove our access when we stop working together.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Message us and we will deal with it within 30 days.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
